About Me
Hi! I’m Dave Gregory
This is my story...
While this blog is here to help others, I thought it might be good to share a little of my own story—how I got here and why I do what I do.
I Wasn’t Supposed to Make It to 50.
Not long ago, I was 300 pounds, drank heavily every night, chain-smoked, and avoided any type of exercise. My days were on repeat—work, drink, sleep, repeat. I had no goals, no energy, no real plan for my life. I was just… existing.
Then I hit my late 40s and had a moment of brutal clarity: I’m shocked I’m still alive. That thought scared me. But more than that—it woke me up.
I decided I wanted to actually live. I quit smoking. I swapped alcohol for exercise. I invested in a cheap, folding treadmill, and I managed to walk for a little over 2 minutes before getting winded. At first, it was tough. I couldn’t manage more than 2 minutes of normal walking, and I couldn’t even do a single pushup. Things started to change. Quickly. I didn’t tolerate exercise—I fell in love with it. I slowly increased my time on the treadmill, and now I do 60 minutes of walking every day. I started studying successful routines, testing different approaches, and building my life around movement, health, and energy.
Now, I start every morning with water, sunlight, and 30 minutes of fast walking on my treadmill while watching some educational videos that help with further progress in my life. I’ve built a nightly wind-down routine that guarantees me quality sleep—something I used to think was impossible. A good night's sleep is the foundation for everything.
I’m not perfect. I still have many struggles. But I’m proof that it’s never too late to change, and you don’t have to try and transform overnight. You just have to make the decision to actually start. And then actually start.
If I can go from being unable to do a single pushup to being my healthiest at 54, so can you. I’m confident that the information I share with you will work for you, too.
